Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as the label's debut female singer for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. In October 21st, 2016, she released Pho, her first EP on the Dreamville Records label. That was the day she began to gain the attention of her peers. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio release was May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox has released her music online since 2012, with the release of her first mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox release her single Bound and the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. Sweat It is part of Omen's Elephant Eyes album on July 21, 2015. The following year, her music circulated all over the Dreamville team, as J. Cole wanted her to join him in creating some references for Rihanna. The official signing ceremony was held to Dreamville Records on 8 December. The record Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat alongside Cozz. The singer released Pho, her debut album on the 21st of October in 2016. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and was an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. In 2018 she guest-starred on two songs alongside her label-mates EarthGang in the video for Nothing but the Best. And Bas On Icarus. The 16th of July, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream of her album debut Shea Butter Baby with an accompanied music video on the 5th of September. Then on November 9 she dropped two more singles: 40 Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. Then, on November 13 she dropped two more singles titled No One and Pdigree. They then teamed up as a guest on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on the track Shea Butter Baby on November 16, and it was released as a single on the 26th of February 2019 for her debut album of the same name. In February of 2019, a music video was released to promote the song. It has already received more than 3 million views on YouTube within its debut week. She was the supporting act for 6LACK during their From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December 2018.
